He latched the door
The dark brownish wood
That crinkled with a chime
How many hours they had spent
Selecting the perfect colour to match their home decor,
A house they first bought together
Stayed and shared many beautiful moments
That brown wood saw her last
And so did he
An envelope torn halfway lay open
On their pear shaped glass teapoy
" knowing how forgetful you are, I left you a note...enjoy the meal my love, just gone for a stroll !"
.........He was relieved to find her sleeping peacefully in the room!
