Heat Cold

He held her closer
Her warm skin peeking out of the laces
Into his fingers  
His shirt shriekingly creased 
under her palms  
Her shoes sliding in front of his legs  
Forcing him to stride ahead and bent to his knees  
Her ruffled hair falling on her face  
His chin nudging her forehead  
Heat and cold shared  
They danced together all night  
At the dance ball
