She ran towards the store
jumping in excitement
giggling and gleaming,
to see array of exotic things displayed.
Making a list of things in her mind,
she bought almost everything.
From clothes to shoes to gifts and more
her shopping cart was brimming with things
that she literally struggled to push
yet it couldn't match her contented heart's energy.
There was long queue at the counter
but she pacified herself and stood calmly.
At last, her turn did come,
her eyes marvelled as
the codes screened each item bought in a jiffy
and the computer screen flashed adding the amount quickly.
She dutifully removed her card to swipe,
A message was sent, account short of cash
momentarily making her feel dejected.
But she couldn't pick anything out of the cart,
So paid every penny left in her purse.
She strided out with a huge grin
reaching her home in a few minutes.
Aligning so many items bought,
her small dwelling looked like a full house.
Her first lottery she won,
made her feel like a princess,
Now she couldn't wait and dreamed about
to stay in a beautiful mansion!
