This scribbled ink knocks on the door
that was locked
on the day it was last addressed to me
I hold that very letter you wrote
resurrecting those raw memories.
The safe that kept it finally broke
unable to bear
its burden today
How do I compose myself now
To watch the open wounds displayed
Can it bring you back or guide me to
your place
The forbidden love between us
Will it ever revive again
Or be buried forever inside this page?
