NAPOWRIMO- Incredible People

Nestled in the beautiful mountain hillside In the corner of a small valley,
Remotely connected, almost deserted
Stayed a family who endure enough to get some food to eat
The father toiled, so did the mother
Even the children worked in the fields.
Weather brought in harvest and smiles
And times of drought caused moaning cries
No money, no electricity and no more contacts
Poverty pushed them to the brink
Yet, they faced it all without any complains
Dreaming to be happy someday.
Today, years later,
The whole valley is buzzing with energy
Channelized towards growth and productivity
Even modern technology has paved in new heights
The once loomy homes are now shining with lights
the teacher in the small school is their daughter
Imparting wisdom to tiny tots who would be futures of tomorrow
The son has left them three, not abandoned please
His scholarship earned him many rewards and degrees
But he chose to reject job offers and work towards a noble deed
He has joined the army performing his duty to the nation
The soil that gave him his life, his true liberation.
The old parents now spend their time to prepare some old boxes of twigs and leaves
For preservatives made by locals sold in the whole city.
Money cannot buy happiness, they say we believe in simplicity
Our hearts are connected to our roots,
there is no disparity.
Cheers to them, the incredible ones
Your life is truly spirited one!!!
